Kaki + Chris Married! | Sewanee, Tennessee Wedding Photographer

Chris and Kaki's wedding day was nothing short of amazing. With every single detail being hand picked or handed down, there was so much treasure from the past and love for the future! They are truly blessed and so in love!   Kaki's beautiful wedding gown was handed down to her by her mother-in-law, who wore and bought it 40 years ago at Neiman Marcus in Atlanta.  Covered in Alencon lace it is truly a family heirloom. If that's not enough,  Chris’ wedding band was made by melting the gold from the wedding bands of his maternal uncle, his maternal grandmother and grandfather, and both of his maternal great-grandmothers. All of these family members have passed away.  UNREAL!!! Kaki's three radiant cut diamond engagement band once belonged to her own mother. They drank Fess Parker chardonnay at the reception, which is the wine made at the Fess Parker vineyard in California where they got engaged. Shall I even start on her flowers? Everyone knows that color pop is what's in for fall. However, Kaki's love for color goes way beyond a fad or trend. She has always loved color and knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding day.  It was very refreshing to be in the element of bright hues once again. The wedding and reception flowers were designed to replicate George V Paris, of the Four Seasons hotel off the Champs-Elysées where Kaki spent a summer.  I COULD GO ON AND ON... there was so much gorgeous, personal detail!

Kaki explains how they met:

Chris and I met in Junior High School in 7th  grade Math class, and have been
dating since we were 17 years old. We attended Sewanee and loved our time there.
Sewanee is an Episcopal University, and I am a cradle Episcopalian and love the
tradition in the Episcopal Church, so All Saint’s, the chapel on center campus, was
the perfect place for us to get married.

Kaki and Chris congrats on an absolutely amazing day! I was honored to be there!

Enjoy!
